A tradition for over 25 years, the Beastly Feast to Benefit Zoo Atlanta is the Zoo's largest yearly fundraising event. The Zoo's challenge with an event that's been so successful for so many years is finding a way to refresh the look and feel in order to have patrons feel like they are attending a completely unique event, year after year.
In order to stand apart from previous executions, BBDO decided to develop the creative around big, beautiful, stylized images of animals that could ultimately be sold as works of art. Seven different animals were placed in seven different environments, and made up signage and posters that were placed all over the Zoo for patrons to see. All of this signage culminated with the Event Program, in which all of the animals were layered on top of each other to form one cohesive message – "Ball of the Wild, a gathering to celebrate nature, conservation & 125 Years of Zoo Atlanta."
The results were overwhelmingly positive. The new approach to the creative was described by both employees and attendees as: "the best design they've ever seen at the Feast."
