"Never before in history has a generation bought, used, loved, manipulated and discarded so many objects. Contemporary objects are increasingly specialized, customized and synchronized. Their production is reaching dizzying heights, while their lifecycle is growing ever shorter. What does this paradox say about us? What does it say about how we relate to time, lifespan and death? If objects are mirrors, what do they tell about us? Imagine each object contains a story and you can release it by scanning its barcode with an iPhone app.
Barcode is an interactive documentary co-produced by us and ARTE where you discover 100 films created by 30 artists in Canada and Europe. The project is also a website and an interactive installation that travels the world."
