“We created the visual identity and album artwork for Efterklang’s fourth album, Piramida, released in September 2012 on the 4AD label. The artwork consists of a handful of illustrated planets and symbols. It also includes photographs taken by Efterklang on the band’s expedition to Piramida, an abandoned Russian coal-mining town in Spitzbergen, Norway, where the musicians collected sounds later used to compose the ten tracks on the album. Both the vinyl and the CD booklets feature the imagery, including pages of semitransparent paper.”
