A smartphone app bound to charm designers, Iconic is a mobile game for iOS and Android. In Iconic, users translate everyday icons into bands, movies and celebrity names. Iconic is an original take on trivia that relies on minimalistic design and handcrafted icons. The makers of Iconic, including Prague-based design firm Flow Studio, noticed that people are now used to visual abbreviations of all sorts. We read symbols much faster than text. With Iconic, the team wanted to push this visual language to the extreme and test if people can “read” names represented by illustrations.
