Comments by Nicolas Fonseca:
"When we first rallied the troops around MadeinMTL, preparing to embark on a two-year adventure none of us could have predicted, Fady (one the producers) launched the process with a Lebanese proverb, 'You have to eat bananas in order to make bananas grow.' And then we began immersing ourselves with everything Montréal, pictures, books, texts, video, having programmers work with researchers and historians, designers working with film directors and writers with photographers and Flashers. It was all about figuring out what it's like to live in a city, and to convey the moments that happen between the lines, as opposed to writing it up neat and nice with a catchy slogan.

"The process was very creative and rewarding, although not always easy to manage. A new language had to be shared between the techies (it has to be immersive) and the old-schools (screw immersive, it has to be compelling). Surprisingly, in the end, everyone ended up working together quite well, apart from the breakups and brief stints in rehab."
