“We were commissioned to design the wordmark and promotional print materials for MO, the first Netflix sitcom helmed by Palestinian-American producer and writer Mo Amer. We drew upon traditional Palestinian tatreez patterns, which represent wheat, cypress trees and the scale of justice, and interwove these with iconography associated with Mo’s adopted home of Houston. Keeping the Netflix platform in mind, we ensured the wordmark would sit comfortably over any promotional imagery.”
