Overview: This site serves as an online information center for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Denver, while it constructs a new building designed by David Adjaye. Its surprising transitions and 3-D backgrounds liven up a traditional blend of educational content.

"The Museum of Contemporary Art | Denver is building a visionary new museum in lower downtown's historic district. Designed by David Adjaye, one of London’s premier architects, their new home will be a Denver landmark and an international architectural showcase.

"The challenge was to create a site that handled the transition to their new museum and served both new building inquiries and existing museum information and exhibits. It also needed to create excitement and help spur their fund-raising campaign. Visually, we wanted to captured the feeling of visiting the museum in-person, moving between rooms and sharing the experience with other visitors. Using high-quality 3-D renders, we were able to create a small interior scene of the new museum to serve as the canvas on which we set the content. And, since MCA required the ability to update the entire site in-house, we built a complex content management application that allows staff members to administer all sections of the site, from copy and photos, to ticketing and membership sales.

"To work on a project within the art community and with a client as visionary as the MCA, which was willing to explore the medium and pushed us to create an environment that captured the museum's essence, was a dream opportunity.
