Duration: Projekt was founded in May of 2006.
Staff: Owner, art director, designer, type nerd, and chief burrito eater, Sean Costik. Plus a nimble team of crazy-talented collaborators—most notably, Dustin Caruso, Projekt’s lead web developer.
Education: Sean holds a BFA in graphic design from Kutztown University and an MFA in graphic & interactive design from Tyler School of Art. Dustin is self-taught and has been making things for the internet since Netscape was a thing.
Cultural influences: Really, it’s anything we lay our eyeballs on. There’s so much great stuff out there. But we’re constantly inspired and being pushed forward by the work of all the talented folks around us.
Environment: The fully-renovated third floor of Sean’s century-old home in suburban Philadelphia—the walls of which are covered with work from the likes of Jeremy Holmes, Jacqui Oakley, Scotty Reifsnyder, Michael Schwab, Joe Scorsone & Alice Drueding, Lanny Sommese and Matt Stevens.
Philosophy: We’re blessed to have such an amazing group of clients and we spend most of our energy giving them the great work they deserve. But above all, we just do our best and be nice along the way.
