“Equinox’s mission was to reach health and wellness enthusiasts, and we stepped up to create a new suite of immersive workouts that went beyond standard racing games for the Pursuit by Equinox, a digital cycling platform. The challenge was to understand the ways the body and mind work, as well as how digital interaction, interface and technology can augment that experience. Our design strategy was centered around the interesting sociological aspect of 40 strangers entering a dark room together with a single goal: getting fit. The first version of the Pursuit opened to critical acclaim, so our job was to expand and elevate the experience by integrating instructor features as well as data-driven visuals that test mobility and resistance. We designed four new games: Daredevils, Earthquake, Firestorm and The Chase.”
