“Risky Business is an annual multiday conference that takes place at Sheffield Hallam University. We were invited by organizers James Corazzo and Paul Heys to develop the type-driven identity for Risky Business 3: Hi-Performance in Blurry Times, the 2018 iteration of the conference. Risky Business 3 invites you to consider art and design education through the language of performance. For inspiration, we looked at manuals that teach readers how to draw letterforms, illustrated in step-by-step strokes—these strokes, represented as singular stroke forms, gave rise to the final letterforms where the strokes were left unjoined, like the lowercase s, y and n.”
