The basic concept of the show was to approximate the sort of cheap, unskilled production you might expect from a somewhat unhinged, young kid. Hence the animation artwork (based on sketches by Andy) looks childish and its style had to look cheap, almost badly animated as if Andy had produced these bits himself.
