“The Sustainable Industries Education Centre reuses an abandoned automotive assembly plant. It is home to a new Technical and Further Education South Australia (TAFE SA) campus that brings all construction trades under one roof. Our signage system allows students, staff and visitors to navigate five buildings across four levels and open workshops—some 45,000 square meters in total. The architectural intent was to create a building that itself is a learning tool for the students, with all services, materials and fixings clearly visible. Our signage system followed suit, with perforated faces giving a sense of transparency and producing dazzling moiré effects as the viewer moves around them.”
