When the book was first published, designer Fred Marcellino created this beautiful image of a woman's hands holding a bowler hat. Twenty five years later, rereading the book, what struck me was the confluence between the private and public lives. I wanted to continue to use the bowler hat as an acknowledgement of the first cover, and also a symbol of the male and public life, while the underwear as the feminine private existence, coexisting together.
