Tokyo Monogatari is a personal project inspired by the typical aspects of the contemporary life and cultural heritage of Tokyo. The series expresses both the daily life of Tokyo and the exaggeration of bodily shapes drawn in the ancient Manga of Hokusai and shown in Noh, Kabuki and Bunraku theater. This project was made possible by the support of Tokyo Wonder Site, Japan and The Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture.
