“Transport for London invited us, alongside ten other artists and studios, to create a poster celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Johnston typeface. Our poster draws inspiration from the book Writing & Illuminating, & Lettering, written by Edward Johnston in 1906. The excerpt describes how quality is always recognized, despite any ‘practical’ reasons heard in favor of quantity, while a timeline made of 100 dots, including the two gold ones, guides you through the text. The full poster series was exhibited at a show called The Language of London at the KK Outlet. Posters are available to buy from the London Transport Museum shop.”
