Typography always takes on the characteristics of its era. It's the first lesson design students learn. Our campaign for the Type Directors Club's 60th international typography competition pushed this lesson to its limits by connecting typography to data streams. Through homemade algorithms and open data sets, our campaign let designers create typographic expressions influenced by data from their location. As their local conditions changed, the typography changed.
