Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the US Census, the tool offers a look at current and historical employment trends, and allows visitors to explore each sector's net job growth to reveal insights into how the sector has changed over time. Contextual information is provided for each year, including average household income and average cost of a new home. Visitors can also explore key data stories and join an online discussion about the complex factors that influence employment."
