Founded in 1997, this division of Wind-up Entertainment Inc., is the largest independently owned and operated record label in the U.S. Its roster features Evanescence, Seether, Finger Eleven, the entire Creed repertoire and developing artists such as Thriving Ivory, Eric Durrance, People In Planes and Civil Twilight.

It’s a sophisticated online presence for the label with engaging and immersive content for fans of Wind-up artists—and pretty much all music lovers. The interface integrates news and information about recent album releases and current tours, with an intuitively designed gallery of music and images. Sliding and magnifying thumbnails give visitors a quick preview of all the label’s artists and follow it up with easy access to information and a clear path to sampling the music.

• Each of the sixteen panels in the artist gallery contain a custom design (formatted as JPEGs), a streaming MP3 of the official single associated with each artist, and a JPEG graphic of the current album cover.

• The site also contains a multimedia page, which contains seven video and thirteen music streams for all the active artists on the label.

• All music and video content are progressively downloaded via Adobe’s proprietary Real Time Messaging Protocol from a separate Flash streaming server.
