As Australia’s first studio that’s fully dedicated to creating short-form content, Fitzroy, Victoria–based Yelldesign’s animations are rich with the playfulness of stop motion and papercraft models. Created with digital design firm Icelab, the animation studio’s site communicates that same playfulness through the animated elements sprinkled throughout. Custom animations at each page’s footer act as a visual navigation bar; a hover animation on the site’s top navigation bar and a bouncing detail that appears when users select “Contact” showcase Yelldesign’s imaginative approach to animation. Each of the site’s project pages feature a different color, letting Yelldesign’s clients show off their specific style. The site currently features 150 images and videos—and plenty more will appear soon.
