Pollution Palace. “I collaborated with the Zhuhai City Council of Zhuhai, China, to create a series of street art sculptures themed around the Tree of Knowledge of Good of Evil from the garden of Eden. This rendition plays on the tension between organic and man-made, envisioning a world where artificial fertilizers and genetically modified crops have leaked into the ecosystem, ‘super-charged’ the environment and caused the fruits and flowers of paradise to undergo a remarkable transformation and proliferate in abundance. Amid the urban backdrop, the installations create a small oasis of dystopian utopia. Here, new lifeforms emerge that are neither fully natural nor fully synthetic.”
